Self-advocacy skills have been linked with improved life outcomes, yet, less than 25% of adults with ASD have ever participated in a self-advocacy group, meeting, or event.

An early opportunity for self-advocacy, and a predictor of post-school success, is participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Again, many teens with autism do not participate – those most likely to participate are white and come from higher-income households.

Join us Friday, January 22 from 11-12 to learn more about advocacy at the individual and system-level. Panelists include:
